Hi, I’m Jocelyn…

— an Art Therapist, EMDR Consultant, and Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m passionate about helping you overcome depression, anxiety, and trauma using a unique combination of tools, practices, and modalities for rapid healing and long-lasting results.

I’m an artist and mom living in the Pacific Northwest. The things that bring me most alive are painting, cycling, hiking with my dog, Ace, and quality time with my family.

I believe…

… every single person is capable of change and healing.

… creativity is a bridge to our intuition… it opens doorways to wisdom, imagination, and the magic that lives just beyond everyday thought.

… authentic self-expression is one of the greatest gifts we can offer the world.

… belonging grows when we create together. Shared art and shared stories connect us in deep and lasting ways.

10 Fun Things About Me

In no particular order…

1/ Creating connections is my calling.

Whether it’s workshops, retreats, or trainings, I light up when I see people share, learn, and feel a sense of belonging. I love helping my clients thrive within their relationships.

2/ I’m an artist.

In addition to being an Art Therapist, I’m also a working artist. You can browse and purchase my original paintings here.

3/ My cat and dog are best friends.

Tango (my cat) and Ace (my dog) bring me so much joy! They are the bestest of friends, which gives me hope that love can exist even when we are so different from one another!

4/ My mornings start with chai tea and art.

Every day begins with a warm chai (oat milk + stevia, always) and time at my art table.

5/ I travel to learn and connect.

Some of my favorite adventures have been conferences where I combine exploring new places with engaging in deep conversations and forming friendships from around the world.

6/ If I weren’t a therapist

I’d probably be a hairstylist or work in marketing — both blend psychology, creativity, and fun in their own ways.

7/ I’ve loved babies forever.

At eight years old, I threw myself a birthday party and invited all the babies I knew. I spent the day happily “dripping with babies.”

8/ Africa stole my heart.

I found the people of Ethiopia to be among the kindest I’ve ever met, and I look forward to returning.

9/ How I give back.

Serving on the board of the Boys & Girls Club is one of my favorite ways to give back, and I love learning about all the creative ways organizations are shaping young lives.

10/ I’m a lifelong learner.

Whether it’s through art, travel, or reading, I’m always searching for new ways to grow and then share what I’ve learned with others.
